Non-Destructive Testing Services
Certified processes and technicians for non-destructive inspection and testing: magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic thickness.
Overview
Find the Flaw Before It Finds You
Non-destructive testing reveals cracks, discontinuities, and wall loss without damaging the part. Primary Inspection provides certified NDT processes and technicians for lifting equipment, pressure equipment, welds, and structural components.
Inspections are performed onsite or in-house, and every inspection is documented with a report of findings.
NDT Methods
Magnetic Particle (MT) InspectionThe inspector buffs the unit to be tested, cleans with the proper solvent, applies particles over the unit, spreads the yoke, and examines for imperfections and discontinuities.
Liquid Penetrant (PT) InspectionThe inspector buffs and cleans the unit, sprays penetrant over the surface, applies developer, and examines. Questionable or doubtful indications are re-examined before final interpretation.
Ultrasonic Thickness (UTT) InspectionUltrasonic measurement of remaining wall thickness on tanks, pipe, and structural members to detect corrosion and wear.
